Ingredients:

  • One package of ground beef or ground turkey fresh or thawed
  • 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Other spices like taco seasoning

Utensils:

  • One large skillet or pan
  • A wooden spoon or spatula

Preparation:

  1. Place the skillet with 2 tbsp of vegetable oil on the stove over medium high heat
  2. Once the skillet is hot place the meat on the skillet and use the spatula to break it apart into smaller pieces
  3. Stir the meat continuously until there is no pink left this should take around 5-7 minutes and add salt and pepper to taste or other seasonings

Pro Tip:

Ground beef and turkey is great to make ahead of time and can be used in many recipes including taco salad, stuffed peppers, pastas, or tacos! Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or store in an airtight ziplock bag in the freezer for a couple of months.
