Ingredients:
- One russet potato
- ½ tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
Utensils:
- Knife
- Cutting board
- Sheet pan
- Bowl
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 425℉
- Cut the potato into ¼ inch strips
- Soak the potato strips in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes and then drain (this releases the starch from the potato and will allow it to crisp up better in the oven)
- Using paper towels thoroughly dry your potato slices and then place them back into the bowl
- Add the olive oil and seasonings to the bowl and thoroughly coat the potato strips with the seasonings
- Place the potato strips on a sheet pan lined with aluminum foil and spread them out evenly so they are not overlapping
- Place in the oven to bake for 30 minutes taking them out and flipping them half way through
- After 30 minutes remove from the oven and serve with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy on their own!
